The Justin Demary Foundation for Impacting Athletics

This foundation was created to honor the memory of Justin Demary. It began with friends and family wanting to offer a one time scholarship in his name.  As time passed, our goal became to continually commemorate his legacy of excellence, perseverance, and leadership. In 2022, we filed as a nonprofit organization and we have been approved for 501(c)3 status.

Our mission

Our mission is to empower and provide financial support to young athletes who have committed to using lifelong values attained through athletics: hard work and determination.

A high school student athlete’s career often ends once they graduate high school, yet competitive sports provide the key building blocks to personal development that will continue throughout life. These athletes dedicate countless hours to their sports, face many trials and tribulations while managing academia. Whether it’s becoming a collegiate athlete or just continuing on the path of higher learning, we want to reward hard work and determination by offering a one time scholarship.

It is the vision of The Justin Demary Foundation for Impacting Athletics to expand and reward scholarships to athletes across the Southwest Louisiana area – Calcasieu, Cameron, Jeff Davis, Beauregard, and Allen Parishes. Since we started, we have been able to support around 100 athletes in Southwest Louisiana totally over $55,000 in scholarships.  For the 2025-2026 school year, we plan to continue to award both $500 and $1000 scholarships. For more information about our scholarship program, contact tammy@jd6foundation.org.

MORE ABOUT

JUSTIN DEMARY

Justin Demary was a 2013 graduate of Iowa High School. Justin signed to play collegiate baseball at Pearl River Community College and Minot State University. Justin was a continual learner earning an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree in corporate fitness with a minor in Spanish and was enrolled to start his master’s degree in data analytics. He also studied to become a nationally certified strength and conditioning specialist and worked for the Boston Red Sox Organization before the pandemic hit.

Justin found a passion for mentoring young athletes. He continually talked about giving back to the communities who supported him throughout his athletic career by helping to train young athletes the right way. He was in the process of starting his own business, Impact Athletix. It is our goal to continue what he started by rewarding athletes for their dedication and commitment to their sport.
